Classroom/Event Policies

  • We hope you feel free to teach/create in the medium of your choice. As this is a shared space, we ask that you avoid using any medium that may contaminate another artist’s work or create toxic fumes (such as welding, spray paint, woodworking, or pottery.)

  • All marketing and promotion is the responsibility of the host/group. If you tell us in advance or tag us online, we will do our best to share your social media post in our news feed. Plymouth Artist Collective is not responsible for any support beyond providing the space. (Read our signage policy.)

  • Facility and studio keys/access codes are not to be shared with anyone else.

  • Event hosts and instructors are responsible for their students' and guests' adherence to the House Rules. If you are providing a class for children, please:

  • Always have an adult present (minimum 16 years old)

  • Keep them in the open space.

  • Do not allow your students or visitors to go into the private or semi-private studios.

  • Ensure all children present participate in the activity. No extra children are allowed.

  • Balloons are allowed as decor. Please do not allow children to play with the balloons, or anything else that could hit the art on the walls.

PLEASE…

  • Do not use glitter.

  • Prevent accidents by keeping walkways and sink areas clear at all times.

  • Use the microwave only for food (not for creating art).

  • Use the utility sink for art cleanup only. Please do not dump leftover supplies, food, paints or oils in the sinks.

  • Help us prevent ants and other pests by throwing away all food-related garbage offsite, either in the outside dumpster by Door 17 or at home.

  • Unless you have a service animal, please let your dogs at home. This is a public venue and other people may have allergies.

  • Respect the resident artists’ work and studio areas, do not tour their area without permission.

  • Do not leave the door open when you are not present.

  • Many people are sensitive to fragrances. Please do not burn candles, incense or use essential oil diffusers.

  • Clean up at the end of every session. Do not leave anything behind. Failure to clean means we will not rent to you in the future.

  • Turn off the lights, when you are done. (Unless others are present.)
